What port should I use to connect?
Use port 6697 with SSL/TLS encryption enabled. All connections to TwistedNET require SSL for your security. Plaintext connections on port 6667 are not accepted.
Do you support IPv6?
Yes! Connect via ipv6.twistednet.org on port 6697 with SSL enabled for native IPv6 support. The main address irc.twistednet.org also resolves to IPv6 where available.
Is SSL required?
Yes, all connections must use SSL/TLS encryption on port 6697. This ensures your messages and identity are protected in transit. Most modern IRC clients enable SSL by default when using port 6697.
What IRC software does TwistedNET run?
TwistedNET runs UnrealIRCd as our IRC daemon with Anope Services providing NickServ, ChanServ, and MemoServ. This combination offers reliability, security, and a rich feature set.
Can I link my server to TwistedNET?
