Yes. TwistedNET is open to everyone—no invite required.

Can I make private or public channels?

Absolutely. Create public rooms anyone can join or private channels for invite-only conversations.

Do admins / IRCops have access to private or secret channels?

No. Operators can’t join invite-only channels unless they’re invited, and secret channels don’t show up to staff. That’s intentional: TwistedNET is built so moderators can keep the network stable and handle abuse without turning into surveillance. They’re here to help, not to peek.
